These free educational seminars are co-sponsored by the Financial Planning Association® of Georgia and South Cobb Regional Library. Each session will consist of a one-hour workshop presented by certified Financial Planners from the Financial Planning Association of Georgia, the second hour will consist of one-on-one consultations with an FPA member. Budgeting 101: Life’s Balancing Act: Covers the basics of creating and maintaining a household or personal budget, including why to create one, how to create one and, most importantly, how to stick to one. Also addresses the issue of debt – how to manage it and ways to begin eliminating it.

Jumpstart Saving on a Limited Budget: This workshop will teach participants how taking small steps and developing a regular continual pattern of saving can lead to greater long-term financial stability and well-being. 

Family Money Skills: Basic tools for financial success; helps families gain the crucial life skills needed to make smart financial choices.

Changing Your Life Through Better Money Management: Personal money management tools for low-income families to begin building a more stable financial future.

Offers Information relevant to each stage in a working adult’s professional life – from the twenty-somethings to the final years before retirement. 

Tax Planning in a Changing Tax World: Shows consumers how to be a tax “survivor.” Includes information on how to avoid tax mistakes while employing timeless tax strategies and tips that can help them better meet their life’s financial goals.
