Yoga is an ancient practice, estimated to be 4,000 to 5,000 years old. The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit word “yoke,” which means to unite. Specifically, it is the unity of body, mind and spirit. The practice of yoga includes breathing exercises, physical poses and meditation. The physical practices of yoga helps to improve flexibility, balance and strength. Mentally, yoga provides tools to combat stress and improve concentration.
This class is beginner friendly. Participants should bring their own mats.
About the instructor: Ajené Hall is a yoga instructor who is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level (RYT-200). She has been practicing yoga since 2015 and completed her yoga teacher training in December 2019 at West Side Yoga located in Atlanta, GA. She has experience teaching power vinyasa and yin yoga at all levels from beginner to experienced.
