An event every week that begins at 12:00 am on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until Monday, November 30, 2020

Dive into the rich tapestry that comprises the heritage, history and culture of India by celebrating of Diwali, the festival of lights, with a colorful and informative introduction to the festival with Vidhya Jagannathan from the North Cobb Regional Library. Click here to watch the introduction.

And enjoy this performance of the joyful song “Dola Re Dola” (I swayed, I moved, I circled) from the Bollywood hit, Devdas by our two talented teen dancers, Simran and Priyoska. This five-day religious and cultural festival, which begins this year on November 14 is celebrated throughout Southeast Asia and in other communities around the world, including the United States. And throughout November, celebrate India’s rich traditions, cuisine, music, religion and art by sampling materials from our comprehensive display of books and media for all ages and while supplies last, a “take and make” paper lantern kit to take home.
