An event every 2 months that begins at 6:30pm on day 8 of the month, repeating until May 13, 2019

Join us on the 2nd Monday of each month at Stratton Branch as we discuss a book by an African-American Author and/or about African- American life and culture.  On March 11th the group will discuss “Barracoon, The Story of the Last Black Cargo,” by Zora Neale Hurston.  “Barracoon, The Story of the Last Black Cargo,” is the story of Oluale Kossula slave name Cudjo Lewis raised in West Africa until age of 19 and then captured on the last ship to sail in the Transatlantic Slave Trade the Clotilda.   On April 8th  the group will discuss “An American Marriage,” by Tayari Jones.   For more information call Pat Ball @ (770) 528-2522.
