Refresh your driving skills with the AARP Smart Driver course!

The AARP Smart Driver™ course, offered by AARP Driver Safety, is the nation’s first and largest refresher course designed specifically for drivers age 50 and older. The course will be taught by Gloria Brown, a certified AARP Driver Safety Instructor/Volunteer.

You will learn:

  • Defensive driving techniques
  • Proven safety strategies
  • New traffic laws and rules of the road

After completing the course, you will have a greater appreciation of driving challenges and a better understanding of how to avoid potential collisions and injuring yourself or others. There are no tests to pass. You simply sign up and learn.  Upon completion you could receive a multi-year discount on your car insurance.  Restrictions may apply. This 6-hour course will be held on Saturday, October 26 and will run from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before for registration.  The course costs $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members for supplies which you will keep, to be paid by check or cash during check-in. Please bring your membership card if you are an AARP member.  There will be a 30-minute lunch break. Participants are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch and a beverage.
