April is a busy month for books discussion groups offered by Cobb County public libraries.

Mountain View Regional Library’s next Evening Book Discussion is on Tuesday, April 18 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. The selection for Tuesday is The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton. (770) 509-2725.

The Acworth Library, in partnership with the Acworth Cultural Arts Center, presents Books at Mainstreet Gallery, a community book discussion on Wednesday, April 19 from 1 pm to 2 pm. The April 19 book is In the Bleak Midwinter by Julia Spencer Fleming.  Mainstreet Gallery is located at 4815 South Main Street in downtown Acworth, adjacent to Fusco’s Restaurant. Vinings Morning Book Club next meets at the Vinings Library on Thursday, April 20 from 11 am and noon. We discuss fiction and nonfiction works covering a broad range of interests. New members are welcome.  (770) 801-5330

East Cobb Library hosts Book Discussions on Thursday, April 20th, with morning and afternoon sessions, giving you the option of attending 11 am to noon or 2 pm to 3:30 pm. We discuss a wide variety of books, but if you would like the current title being discussed please call (770) 509-2730 or come by the library. New members and visitors are all welcome!

Kennesaw Library is hosting a Book Discussion on Tuesday, April 25th between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm. We meet on the fourth Tuesday every month. This month’s title is a work of nonfiction titled Savage Kingdom: the true story of Jamestown, 1607, and the settlement of America by Benjamin Woolley. (770) 528-2529

Switzer Library hosts Teen Book Discussion on Saturday, April 29th between 4 pm and 5 pm. We discuss what you’re reading, what you want to read, and dish about our favorite books in general. Refreshments will be provided! (770) 528-2320
