Congratulations to Gritters Library manager Jennifer Wells on receiving a Customer Service Excellence Award!
The award was presented to Wells by County Manager David Hankerson and members of the Customer Service Council. Library patrons also participated in the surprise celebration.
According to Wells’ direct supervisor, Mike Aiken, she is continually going out of her way to help library patrons, as well as her coworkers. One example of her exemplary service occurred as she was leaving for the day and greeted a library patron in the parking lot. After conversing with the patron, Wells discovered the woman was having problems with her Kindle. When Wells learned of the woman’s situation she insisted on going back into the library to teach the woman how to use her Kindle. She stayed until she knew the woman grasped the lessons she had been taught.
The Customer Service Excellence Awards are given to Cobb County Government employees who are going above and beyond their normal duties to offer assistance to both internal and external customers.
