November 5th is a Student Holiday for Cobb County Public Schools as Tuesday is Election Day.

Elections are scheduled for the Cities of Austell, Kennesaw, Powder Springs and Smyrna. Tuesday is Professional Learning Day for the staff of Cobb County School District. Marietta City Schools will be open Tuesday.

Cobb County Libraries have you covered! If you’re looking Tuesday for something to do, we have several events geared towards all ages.

Storytimes:

 

Life Size Oregon Trail for Teens at Sewell Mill Library & Cultural Center from 2 pm – 4 pm. Based on the retro game, teens ages 13 and up will travel back to 1848 and hitch a wagon to try and complete the treacherous journey to a new life. 770-509-2711

Cupcake Decorating at Mountain View Regional Library from 4 pm – 5 pm. Kids ages 8 and up will get to test their kitchen creativity by decorating their very own cupcake. Techniques using piping bags to make designs include: borders, flowers, and funny faces using colored frosting and other edibles. Registration is required.  To register, click here. 770-509-4964

Teens/Young Adult Drama Club at South Cobb Regional Library from 5 pm – 7 pm. Teens ages 14 -19 are welcome to come by our weekly Drama Club to practice their acting skills. 678-398-5828
