Several events celebrating Independence Day are scheduled for the days ahead of the July 4th holiday at Cobb County Public Library System locations.

Happy Birthday, America! A Star-Spangled Craft Program at West Cobb Regional Library Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come by the library and make a patriotic craft! All ages. Information: (770) 528-4699.

Family Fun Night: Happy Birthday, America! at West Cobb Regional Library on Monday, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Bring the whole family to the library for an evening of fun! Make a star-spangled craft in honor of the 4th of July.  Information: (770) 770-528-4699.

Boom Celebrate at Sibley Library on Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pre-school children will celebrate the 4th of July with books, fingerplays and songs! Information: (770) 528-2520.

The Art Station at Powder Springs Library on Tuesday, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. All ages. Information: (770) 439-3600.

The Art Thing for Tweens at Powder Springs Library on Tuesday, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Spark a reaction and make some fireworks with Sharpie Tie-Die. Bring a T-shirt, pillowcase, or whatever you want to tie-die.  Ages 10 to 14. Information: (770) 439-3600.

Hooray for the USA at Kennesaw Library on Wednesday, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Children ages 5 to 10 will join The Art Station-Big Shanty in creating patriotic artwork to help celebrate America’s birth. Please note: Due to the small size of our storytime room, there may not be room for parents or younger siblings and please arrive early as the parking lot fills up quickly. Firework Art Project at South Cobb Regional Library on Thursday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Celebrate the birth of our country by participating in a patriotic, family art project. Participants will create a firework art craft using paper, glue and glitter. Information: (678) 398-5828.
