Acting Workshop
In partnership with TheatreSouth Atlanta, the Cobb County Public Library System is offering Cobb teens an opportunity to develop their acting skills with a series of workshops as part of the Triple D Production series. The classes are being taught by Herman LeVern Jones, award-winning producer, artistic director, and actor, who has worked with celebrities like Sidney Poitier, Samuel L. Jackson, James Earl Jones, August Wilson, and Oprah Winfrey. Mr. Jones founded TheatreSouth Atlanta in 2007 and is a professor at Life University.
Students in the workshops will learn basic acting methods, techniques, and fundamentals. The workshops are free, but registration is required and space is limited. For more information or to register, teens should call the location they would like to attend.
The workshop for middle-schoolers will be held from 11 am-noon; from noon-2 pm, the workshop for high-schoolers will be offered. Teens should call (770) 509-2725 to register.
