Our 2016 Quidditch Team

Calling all Muggle sports fans! Are you a Harry Potter enthusiast? Do you want to play in the Superbowl of all Wizard Games? We have a game just for you!

West Cobb Regional Library will be hosting our second annual Quidditch match at Lake Acworth Beach in downtown Acworth on Thursday, June 1st from 10 am to noon.

Quidditch is a long past-time in Harry Potter’s wizarding world. Imagine football, but with flying brooms and more objects zipping about through the field. Each match has two opposing teams and the object of the game is to score more points than the other team.

Fans will learn how the game is played from the Atlanta Quidditch Team. We are inviting all interested middle schoolers and high schoolers to join us for the biggest Quidditch match of the summer. Participants will have the chance to play the game, make their very own house badges, and geek out over all things Harry Potter with each other.

Gab about your favorite Harry Potter house or showcase your best funny face at our “Have you seen this wizard?” photobooth, a memory that wizards and muggles alike can cherish. This action packed event is a great way for preteens and teens in the community to get to know other people who share the same interests.

Join us for some high flying fun! No previous flying experience is necessary.

Spots are limited, so register today by calling 770-528-4699 or by e-mailing Miss Kate at jacobsok@cobbcat.org.

This magical event will be held at Lake Acworth Beach House, 4425 Beach Street, Acworth 301010

Weather disclaimer: In the event of inclement weather, a new date will be announced.
