4-H of Cobb County will be giving a presentation called All About Drones on Tuesday, June 13 at Sibley Library from 11 am to noon.

Drones are a type of unmanned aircraft that can be programmed for a variety of different things. They can be controlled remotely or pre-programmed with flight plans that work with internal sensors and GPS.

Initially used in the military, drones have become more popular for personal use the past few years. There are limitless possibilities in what they can be used for. Businesses can use them to deliver things, public safety officials can use them in search and rescue and for surveillance, weather fanatics can monitor atmospheric conditions, and aspiring directors can use them for photography and videography.

In this special presentation kids will learn about flight dynamics, aircraft types, and programming.

Space is limited, so be sure to contact Sibley Library today at (770) 528-2520 to sign up!
