Saturday, September 22, 2018 – the first day of the fall season – is Falls Prevention Awareness Day. Cobb County Library System is partnering with Cobb County Senior Services to provide a series of Falls Prevention Awareness events called “Find your Balance in Cobb” throughout September. The original host of Ground Breakers, HGTV’s longest running landscape show, and former Atlanta TV news and sports anchor, Joe Washington is a headliner at gardening and home shows. His passion for outdoor living spaces and training as a Master Gardener bring him to the stage frequently to discuss his advocacy of topics such as smart gardening practices to reduce water use and adaptive gardening for seniors and people with disabilities.
