1000 Books B4 Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, October 14th from 2 pm to 2:30 pm at West Cobb Regional Library, 1750 Dennis Kemp Lane, Kennesaw 30152.

Cobb County Public Library System’s 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program encourages families to read lots of books and share millions of words with their children before they start kindergarten.

Reading with children can help them prepare for the fundamentals in their education. Several studies have shown brain development is supported by early reading and stimulation, which helps promote academic achievement.

The special graduation ceremony on October 14th will feature a presentation of certificates to celebrate the 1000-book milestone and an opportunity for kids to have their photos taken with Dewey, the library’s feline mascot.

This event at West Cobb Regional Library is free and open to the public. Bring the whole family!

1000 B4K ceremonies are held quarterly, so if you can’t make it to this one there will be another ceremony waiting for you in the future!
